Like: it’s small so I can recognize some active people here; also I like how many queers and allies are here, Lemmy’s not perfect in regards to minorities but it’s much better than reddit and most alternatives.
Dislike: it’s small so I can’t find people who are into the same niche stuff as I am; also centralization on .world sucks, I’d block this instance otherwise because of how many genuinely shitty people are there.
Lemmy and PieFed don’t have bots/filters/whatever that can get me banned because they think I’m a spammer or some other nonsense. I don’t like the developers of Lemmy, and lemmy.ml instance (and other similar instances), and the fact that some people are quick to downvote a post/comment (or be just rude) without actual conversation, argumentation, or discussion (but Reddit probably has the same issue).
I don’t get banned for stating obvious geopolitical points and my following stances (Reddit got bought and it’s been cracking down on anti-imperialist speech lately), so that’s awesome! It’s a bit empty at times but I guess that’s to be expected, and it’ll slowly fill up with discontent Redditors/internauts looking to escape the bots and the bottified folk.
