Trump’s decision to strike three Iranian nuclear facilities was not based on new intelligence, administration officials say.

Bullshit. Yeah, Trump is surrounded by some very loud and obnoxious dumbasses, but I call bullshit on this one. A sortie of three B2s loaded with bunker busters flies halfway across the world with a full entourage of support hardware just to shoot blindly in the general direction of a uranium processing facility, based on guesswork?

I could be wrong, but I think the article is saying there is “no intel” on Iran building nukes, and that nothing has changed - not that there was no intel and they guessed at what they were shooting at.

Yeah, don’t even need to read the full article to get that, the subtitle is pretty much what you said. It’s that intelligence assessments have not changed, not that they played a game of battleship.

I mean, when the WMD pretext is an entirely fabricated justification anyway you don’t really need more Intel on it to carry out the attack.

Given Irans willingness to cooperate before, it’s not like the lack of Intel was about where these facilities are or anything like that.

(Though Iranian reports are stating that they did in fact move the uranium to actual undisclosed facilities before the attack)

This attack was practiced a year ago with Israel under the Biden admin, the attack itself wasn’t targeted by a hunch but the decision to go through with it was
