The only way the US wins a war with Iran easily, quickly, and without massive losses is if it uses a nuclear weapon. This fact, combined with that Huckabee post comparing Trump to Truman in 1945 and his “evacuate Tehran” and “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” statements, makes me nervous. Caitlin Johnstone

The more this happens the more “rational” the logic of “I’m obtaining nukes so people don’t invade our bomb me” looks – which is terrible for everyone the whole world over in case you were wondering.

But I was told that Trump was the international ✌️ peace candidate you guys. Surely, people – in America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 – couldn’t have been lying to me.

    To be fair…

That’s why they always say Iran is perpetually 1-5 years away from having nukes.

And why that left Iran with one logical path: actually develop nuclear weapons.

Because even if they don’t try. Israel is going to keep saying they’re trying, and pre-emptively attacking, until Iran actually launches a nuke. Hopefully in a test capacity at least.

From my understanding they already have all compartments developed (including 60% angereichertes Uran which only use is for making a bomb) but yet stuck to stick it all together. Newer research showed they are more like 1-2 weeks away (well before the Israeli strikes). Now they will be on full Sprint until they either have one or their resources get destroyed/taken. Don’t even know what option I prefer nowadays.

Honestly… Yeah, Iran is working towards a nuke, primarily because that would make decapitating their government infeasible (by current standards)

Iran are not the good guys. The Iranian people seem pretty alright TBH, but their government sucks

They are a state that sponsors terrorism for geopolitical objectives

But they’re also the party trying to deescalate. Consistently, for several years now. Israel is not. And that’s so incredibly shameful

Yeah, and it’s not like there’s a reason they don’t have a democracy or anything…

I’ve got very few problems with people, but man, a lot of governments are dog shit these days.

It’s important to remember the distinction because actual wars are breaking out and it’s always the people that pay the price, rarely the governments

this is a repost from yesterday and its still as stupid. there is a difference in fighting someone who is on the brink of geting nukes or fighting someone who has the most nukes on earth
