People love talking shit and their words often have no real meaning or base

You’re doing that annoying thing that redditors started doing where you barge into a conversation several replies deep answering a question by pretending to be the person who was asked.
There are plenty of messages in this thread that are not asking a specific user for their thoughts, you could reply to instead. Read the room.

This context doesn’t change my conclusion, but I’m clearly a prime target for confirmation bias as I made up my mind before seeing it.
