    …and as far as I know, Palestinians took in Jews during the Holocaust when the Germans and Italians invaded North Africa causing Jews to flee Egypt and Morocco. There were more fears about what would happen should the Nazis take the Suez or if they would push on to Syria and Iraq. Then there were all the pogroms during the Crusades by Christians.

    Zionism is the antisemitic belief the nazis and hundreds of years of conspiracy theories are correct in calling Jews foreign agents. Rather than deal with this at home in Europe, Europeans exported the problem to a region that has historically got along just fine.
