Anyone who visits Hollywood should immediately realize the US image is pure propaganda. That place gets worse every year, with just increasing amounts of dirt, grime, homeless people, grifters, etc and decreasing amounts of its unique character and culture. It’s a place that tourists gather to spend their money and they still can’t bring themselves to spend the money to keep it nice, presentable, and livable. Meshwhile, multi-million dollar mansions surround it on the outskirts, not to mention the star studded movie premieres with expensive suits and designer dresses that gather there a few events every year.
It’s a testament to the downsides of capitalism and the atomization of society.
hopefully some day we can string up all the multimillionaires living in mansions in LA while surrounded by hell on earth levels of poverty and despair.
