Why do they do shit like this, do they think they have a chance at winning? Did they learn nothing from watching the last US election? Would they rather poilievre be in power?

Ah yes, cause the less than one million green voters would have filled a nearly three million vote gap in November.

Canadians oil and natural gas can and have displaced large amounts of coal, lowering US emissions. Heck BC still imports energy from the US produced using coal.

Pierres plan is to force municipals to rezone by withholding funding, which makes mass transit actually possible, and our urban sprawl is a big reason our emissions are so high. The Liberals plan hasnt worked for 10 years, and Carney is promising the exact same thing, which is a non-functional plan given the large immigration numbers they want to have.

Oil and natural gas are not solutions. You can call them better than goal but does that matter when they’re still enough to lead us to our demise?

The decision to pull funding for Canadian scientists to attend critical Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) conferences

It seems likely that other commenters didn’t read past the headline. It’s about the government suddenly deciding to stop covering travel costs for people participating in IPCC meetings. It should not be too surprising that the Green Party might object to that. But they don’t seem to have any more information about it than is found in the various news stories that are going around, which as far as I can tell don’t tell us how or why the decision was made. There must be more to the story than what we’re told so far.
