So I’ve actually spent some time living in Myrtle Beach SC, and I recall there being a sentiment there among beer drinkers (I worked as a bartender at the time) that the only beers you could get there are beach themed ones (lagers and fruity IPAs) and they’d go crazy for something darker. I guess maybe Guinness caught one? Idk, this is totally anecdotal and several years ago.
…granted, I haven been out that way in a few years, but I will single-handedly skew that statistic if I wind up moving there in the next year or two.
