This is a part of it I think, conscious or not. People in the west, the US especially, have been raised to think they live in the “good” countries and as bad as things get, things will always be worse in “bad country” over there, we need to be “thankful” for what we have in good country. But if bad country is actually doing better then practically everything we’ve been taught about the world must be wrong, and people can’t easily change their entire worldview overnight, so they find some excuse, act like “bad country” is just lying, because it’s easier to accept that the people we’ve been told are evil bad guys our entire lives are liars, much harder to realise that we are the ones actually on the “bad guy team” living in the actual bad country.
The way people talk about China and North Korea just shows how cartoonish their beliefs are. They think people in NK aren’t allowed to smile or laugh or else they get sent to work camps, and they think the CCP will abduct you off the streets for littering.
China should stop doing business with israel. Then we will see how advanced the zios are as their economic shits Its diapers.
