I can’t wait for them to finally accept climate change is man made, except inexplicably blaming trees and renewables for destroying the climate while promoting a cooling effect from fossil fuels… Whatever it is, it’s guaranteed to be evil and dumb as shit.

Exactly: Net neutrality is a publicly acknowledged individual by small tech that wants to censor liberals.

The EFF heavily criticized AWS for removing Parler a few years ago for this reason.

That’s not Net Neutrality. Comcast stopping a subscriber from visiting Parlor hosted on AWS would be violating Net Neutrality. It’s about getting there, not where it’s hosted. Amazon is fully in their rights to dictate what is hosted on their platform.

I’m aware of their stance, and I disagree with it. Beyond that, it’s simply a different issue than Net Neutrality and they aren’t conflating the two. It’s important to understand the difference, especially because a large number of Americans have little to no choice in Internet Service Providers.

It’s a kin to the water company refusing to provide water to a racist on your street. That’s wrong. Water is a utility and should be available to the home owner regardless. However, Walmart should not be obligated to stock water that racist bottles with racist slogans on it in their stores.

I’m surprised at how quickly the internet we’re presented, has turned into a right wing cesspool of lies and misinformation.

Just remember they’ve always been here. Trump only emboldened them so they had a leader to cower behind while spewing their FUD. They know they’re wrong but they don’t care as long as the right people are hurt. And they’ll still be here after the trump cult dissolves. No amount of education can reach those who are unwilling to learn.

All of social media are pushing right wing trash hard because that’s what gets engagement. Either smug satisfaction from the clowns who agree or rage clicks from people who don’t.

censoring conservatives is, unfortunately, the very last thing big tech actually wants.

The unintended consequence of repeated attacks on net neutrality is that so many more people understand what net neutrality is and won’t fall for this bs.
