    .world straight up blocks /c/piracy and “preemptively” blocked hexbear.

      They blocked piracy for like a day over a year ago and then unblocked it when the users were clearly against it.

      Hexbear being blocked is a good thing and overwhelmingly supported by the users.

        If it’s sensible for the largest general purpose lemmy instance to “preemptively” block hexbear but still not block threads even after the lizard’s sucking off of the cheeto that caused even pixelfed to get a huge exodus of ig users, then sensibility is dead.

      2. world unblocked priacy instances over a year ago with the notable exception of the db0 instance

          just checked if I can see piracy on lemmy.world and yes you’re correct. Though it seems only the db0 instance was banned in particular weirdly.

          I still stand by point 1 though. Hexbear as an instance has been profile-blocked by me.
