They are very firm that libs are not what the rest of the world says they are, but they are a little vague on what they think it means

Ngl this looks to me like a non-native english speaker mixing up Liberal with the version of Libertarian that’s used a lot outside of the US (particularly in Europe) to describe more anarchist-leaning politics. It’d explain the claim that “Liberals are Capitalist” is a yank-centric position, and from a quick glance at their post history it seems that they might be from Finland.
