Futurama is my spouse and sons favorite show. It’s been nice bonding over it.
I openly hope “The Impossible Stream” cold opens with the “What’da you say, wanna go around again?” line then show opens with “Space, it seems to go on and on forever…”
Does anyone else think it just doesn’t hit the same when it’s not 4:3 and slightly blurry? Don’t get me wrong I love the show, and new content will probably be good, just curious if others feel the same about the aesthetic hah
last time I heard about this like a year ago they couldn’t get the voice of bender back, did that change? or is the voice cast new?
Yes, they got the original voice of Bender back. John DiMaggio rightly felt they were lowballing him with their offer, and held out for a better one, which he apparently was able to snag.
He didn’t get a raise, although him and the rest of the VA crew probably should have. He did say he was happy to ignite some discussion about it, even if he didn’t get the pay bump.
I’m sad he didn’t get it, but happy he’s playing Bender. A different VA per episode would have been interesting, I admit, but I would prefer John in the role 10 out of 10 times.
