There’s a lot about Good Lord Bird I wasn’t happy with as I learn more about John Brown, but they gave him some great monologues.

I watched the first ep and didn’t go any further because it seemed, uh, weird, but this has convinced me to pirate the rest and watch it
It can be very cathartic at times, and there’s so little popular media about Brown. But, at the same time, they kinda make a joke of him. I haven’t read the original novel, but I do wonder if McBride even likes Brown.
