Image description: Graphic of seven cubes containing different configurations of matter which has a brownish tone. The first cube is filled with tittle bubbles and is labeled “(a) Gnocchi”. The second one is filled with bulgy tubes and is labeled “(b) Spaghetti”. The third one is filled with multiple thin layers with somewhat regular holes and is labeled “© Waffles”. The fourth one is filled with multiple thin layers without any holes and is labeled “(d) Lasagna”. The fifth one is filled with a wavy net-like structure and is labeled “(e) Defects”. The sixth one is filled completely with tubular holes and is labeled “(f) Antispaghetti”. The seventh and final cube is filled completely with bubble-shaped holes and is labeled “(g) Antignocchi”. The image caption reads: “FIG. 3 Nuclear pasta configurations produced in our MD simulations with 51,200 nucleons (Horowitz et al., 2015; Schneider et al., 2014, 2013).”
Interesting… Antiwaffle would be someote similar to gnocchi, and antilasagna would be identical to lasagna…
I’m with you on Antilasagna, but I think Antiwaffle would be more like Lasagna with pillars between the layers…
Upon closer inspection, yeah, I think you’re right.
I wouldn’t want to eat defects!
Hey, don’t knock it 'til you’ve tried it!
