Back when computer monitors were big enough, my cat would sit on that and I would have to keep moving his tail out of the way

I’ve been consistently moving him onto the floor or my lap if he steps onto my desk size mouse pad while I’m at my desktop. Eventually he picked up on the fact that he’s not allowed on the mouse pad, and will now either sit at the edge of it, or climb into my lap.

There’s also a catbed behind my second monitor, which he preferred for a long time, but my lap has been the more popular option in recent months.

I have a gigantic ultrawide monitor, and 90% of the reason for that was because I figured if my cat sat in front of it I could just move the window I’m using to a spot he’s not blocking. The bastard watches my eyes and moves to block it again. He will not settle for anything less than the center of attention.

He’s pretty forgiving, I can adjust my sitting position once or twice and hell get up and lay back down each time.

He was resting his head on my arm but looked up at my phone because I picked it up to take the picture.

I had a very similar cat back in 1998, his name was spud, and he had serious anger issues. we had to put prozac gel in his little angry ears.
