@dnd running the Dragon of Ice Spire peak, when my group came upon the logging camp. I printed the models in my 3d printer, paint them, and try like hell to have a functional set every other week for our game.
Idk if this is new for anyone else, but I feel a compass rose on reusable maps so we can label which way is North is brilliant! A nice quick and easy way to add some world building
Ice spire peak was my first campaign, it’s cool to see this map irl as we’ve been playing online so using talespire. Wish you the best of luck with the rest of the campaign
Is the tiling 3d printed too? Or just generic beach tileset that is bought somewhere? I have myself a new bambu p1s that I’m planning on using to print models and scenery so interested in this quite a bit.
@Ironside I purchased a set of dungeon mats off of Amazon. I used that for the back drop. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085198LF5?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thanks! They’re on amazon Canada too. Wishlisted for when i didn’t just buy a $1k 3d printer in the last month 😂
You make it sound like you just up and bought a Bambu on a whim. 😅
Also, resin (MSLA) is far superior for minis, IMHO, though filament (FDM) does great for terrain, etc.
Hahaha. Not on a whim. Bought an ender v2 last November. Hated it so returned it. Been eyeing the p1p since then. Bought one of those but before it shipped, the P1S released so cancelled and bought it.
Resin definitely prints minis better, but I don’t have a safe place for it. I’ve got 5 kids, and 3 are under 6 years old. When I upgrade to a bigger house, I’ll be buying a resin.
Fair point, though in a similar price category: Jupiters are crazy easy to vent with a built-in exhaust port (via 120mm case fan & conduit) and spacious enough inside to house 3rd-party temp solutions, too. You know, in case you want reasons to buy another $1k+ printer. 😅
Hahaha. Eventually! My wife will have a fit if I buy anything else just yet. One day!
Thanks for the suggestions!
Happy should’ve seen the look I got when my first one showed up unannounced. Might’ve forgotten to bring it up, and so the first question was “Honey, that’s gonna make money how, exactly?” 😶 And, so… Piecemakers.us was born of equal parts passion for the related hobbies and loving duress. 🤪
@Piecemakers3Dprints @Ironside I rent and don’t have a safe space for resin and it’s vapors. I would have preferred one for sure.
To be fair, it’s surprisingly simple to setup a negative air pressure exhaust system, and without power tools or pissing off your landlord. Worst case scenario, taking in the window insert at a glance, they might wonder if you’re growing weed. 🤣
edit: not really sure why you got downvoted, but I’m not that clown.
Looks friggin’ amazing!
Looks awesome! The tents are a great idea I’d never thought of; do you have any links to STLs for them and/or logs?
@antaymonkey sure thing!
