    As a chilean is impressive for me how many people die of earthquakes in other parts of the world, This is not a natural disaster but a very human one, a totally preventable one, Sadly Afghanistan is too poor and unstable to put in place proper seismic regulation but still a lot can be done imo.

        No no, not to a certain extent chile is a countrly like the ones you describe, and like, life continues as normal as soon as the quake stops usually with quakes in the lower 6 here.

        obviously it will not be the same based on depth and kind of terrain, but still, people shouldn’t die for a quake like this, like almost at all.
