Russia and America should’ve been brother nations. It’s not just about cossacks and cowboys, or the League of Armed Neutrality, or both countries being ruled by revolutionary leaders at some points in our history.
It’s also about logic and reason. We are natural geopolitical allies, and the US-Russian alliance could secure most of the Northern Hemisphere and put an end to all hotspots of instability around the world.
The whole Russo-American conflict can be explained by the uncanny valley effect and external interference. We are too similar, but at the same time something feels “off” - or, rather, inverted. This is exactly what is being used to create tension between us, to no benefit of either party.

Even liberals agree that the USSR was far more efficient than Tsarist Russia, the guy who wrote The Piratization of Russia says in the book Russia had a hopelessly outdated mode of production pre-revolution, and he disparages communism plenty of times.
