Here’s an idea. This may sound extreme, but have you tried sending your kid to a public school and not spending fucking $80,000 each year instead? Then you could send them to a private school in the US with the amount you’ve saved.
Like Ivy League schools cost $90k a year. Why are you spending that much on goddamn middle school?
Private and public schools mean the opposite in the UK
Ye. But isn’t the article talking about privatized schools people spend thousands of dollars on tuition for? Do the opposite of that.
VAT is a tax.
Public school means the opposite, but private school doesn’t. We call non-private, government funded schools state schools.
Who wants to bet that they’re also the worst kind of landlord? I bet they have a bunch of unreasonable restrictions like only being able to use the kitchen to reheat food and having a stay elsewhere two days a week.
Meanwhile I am forced to live in a single room in what used to be a slummy motel and don’t even have a kitchen.
Fuck you and fuck your kid too and fuck his private school.
who are articles like this for? who is reading this and actually giving a fuck?
Middle class conservatives who want to be convinced that they’re the real victims?
Cool. I’m stuck being a basement dweller and I can’t get a job because no one’s hiring and even if they did it’ll be minimum wage so that means no moving out of my podunk town. so I have to watch my whole life slip me by.
But sure, you’re the real victim because in your quest to fatten up porky, he’s demanding you start having your kids play with the have nots so porky can have more.
Name a better duo than upper class British people and whining about “boarders” during economic downturns.
This is such a trope it’s all over their literature. That and having to sell your land for a sub-development you can see from your estate (good heavens). The classic aristocratic complaints of “capitalism is coming for me and only me specifically and I have it worse than anyone else”.
😂
