That’s me when talking to my wife. She just sits there and smiles while I talk about dumb nerd shit she doesn’t care about. But then I do the same when she talks about marvel movies…

Same with my GF. When she listened to my mad 40K ramblings AND started asking questions…I knew she was the one. Then she talks about Marvel and I actually listen!

Coming from a shitty relationship where my ex thought everything and anything is childish (except her teddy collection) this was a revelation.

Guys, get yourself a girl who smiles when you give a 3 hour recollection of the Horus Heresy.

True love right here. My husband and I do the same. He rambles about baseball cards and geography, I ramble about knitting and horror movies. And it totally works.

sooo … how many have had people desperately find a way to get away from your ramblings at parties or whatnot?

When I first met my partner I talked for 4 hours non-stop about aeroplanes. I still don’t understand why they decided to marry me.

My then-date, now-husband rambled about exclaves and enclaves for a looong while. It was honestly attractive to see someone so passionate about it. But then again, I have ADHD and have my hyperfocus rabbit holes, he is on the spectrum and has his special interests. We fit.
