Weil unsere ganze Gesellschaft zutiefst kapitalistisch ist.

Wir führen das Land als Unternehmen, welches schwarze Zahlen schreiben muss, wir gehen sogar so weit ein dogmatisches, unflexibles Gesetz zu verabschieden welches das Schulden machen (aka Geld ausgeben) im Grunde verbietet. Die Bürger fragen nicht nach mehr Geld, sondern nach mehr Arbeit. Nach wie vor ist jemand der vom Sozialsystem abhängig ist, zuerst mal ein Schmarotzer und fauler Gammler. Generalstreik ist verboten, demonstrieren brav geregelt so dass auch jeder pünktlich zur Arbeit kommt und ja kein Sachschaden entsteht.

Natürlich versucht ein Land aus solchen Leuten alles zu kommerzialisieren, inklusive öffentlicher Dienstleistungen.

I’m not saying we should shutter all the others or make a Linux for profit corporation, just that if there is a sort of “base” Linux that can be used and referenced as universally as windows, with the same capability, stability and compatibility, catering to the same crowd of dumbest possible user, that would go a long way in my opinion in getting Linux more widely adopted.

Dont forget that the vast majority of users either doesnt know Linux, distrusts Linux, has heard rumors at any point in time about some feature or component not working as perfectly as under windows, is uninterested in computers beyond their daily usage function, or finds themselves in a social circle or job environment hostile to Linux.

What Linux needs to get widely adopted is settle for one central distro, iron out all bugs and compatibility issues and do a bunch of testing with windows users to determine what differences they are confused by. The goal must be to create total feature and compatibility parity with windows, and make the whole process so incredibly simple that even absolute morons with zero interest in computers can both use it instinctively and not miss anything their windows used to do. Then run a massive adoption campaign.

Now I know many aspects of this are directly opposed to the fos ethos, but if Linux ever wants to claim market share they need to spend big on it and pick up the users where they are; in a place of zero user ability and a lot of ignorance.

Well obviously it is a philosophical dilemma, but the dozens of ironic variations created for memes gave it a different purpose as meme template.

Otherwise it would be a lot less well known i would guess, under normal circumstances you encounter this perhaps once or twice during your education unless you actively take an interest in such musings. Due to the memes I probably come across the drawing once per week if not more

Yes of course, not utilizing the resources in the waste is entirely illogical in a zero resources environment. Just that we would probably run it through some sort of purification system first to break down the dangerous contents

We dont fertilize our agriculture with human waste as is, there are far too many diseases and such to be transmitted. I believe the north koreans are doing this, and are often suffering from parasites and disease transmitted this way.

To use it on the moon they would need bioprocessors first that break down the waste thoroughly

Having the pixel buds myself, I feel your pain. Do a little bit of physical activity and at least one side gets loose and slippery.

I found that I simply dont have symmetrical ear canals, I use the mid size plug on one and the smallest plug on the other ear. That way they seem to fit somewhat reliably.

Du hast natürlich recht damit dass der Sieger des zweiten und dann kalten Krieges hier mehr oder weniger sein Wertesystem installieren konnte, und bei deinem Fazit dass wir uns auch unabhängiger von den USA positionieren müssen, bin ich auch ganz bei dir.

Mein ideales Vorgehen wäre die kontinuierliche Zusammenführung Westeuropas zu einem echten Föderalstaat, ähnlich der amerikanischen Struktur (nur bitte ohne das zur Parodie reduzierte politische system), gepaart mit einer industriellen und ökonomischen Souveränitätskampagne welche darauf abzielt, Europa zu einem weitgehend selbstversorgenden und unabhängigen Supranationalstaat zu reformieren und unsere Produktion aus Billiglohnländern zurück nach Europa zu bringen.

Das ist meiner Meinung nach auch der einzige Weg, unsere westlichen Werte von persönlicher Selbstbestimmung, freiem Diskurs und gesellschaftlicher Pluralität langfristig zu bewahren, insbesondere angesichts der expliziten chinesischen Ambitionen ihre Werte auch außer Landes zu etablieren*.

Die marktwirtschaftliche Ordnung ganz abzuschaffen halte ich leider für mittelfristig unrealistisch, das beste und erreichbarste ist, zumindest den Kapitalismus (als spezifische Ausprägung der marktbasierten Wirtschaft mit einer privaten Besitzerklasse welche den Wohlstand abschöpft und immer mehr und mehr Vermögen akkumuliert) zu überwinden und ein nachhaltigeres und gerechteres (aber dennoch marktwirtschaftliches) system zu etablieren, ein mögliches Beispiel welches zur Inspiration dienen könnte ist das Freigeldsystem.

*siehe z.B die tolerierte außergesetzliche Gängelung und Verfolgung von Dissidenten und Regimekritikern durch Agenten der chinesischen Regierung in westlichen Ländern; oder die hoch kontroversen chinesischen Polizeikräfte welche in Ungarn eingesetzt werden sollen.

Ich bin auch kein Amerika-fan, aber es ist doch wohl klar dass Russland und China nicht das europäische oder deutsche Wohlergehen im Sinn haben… haben die Amerikaner auch nicht, aber die wollen in erster Linie Geld mit uns machen.

China möchte uns ökonomisch noch weiter von deren Produktion abhängig machen während sie unsere Technologien stehlen, und Russland möchte uns am liebsten russlandfreundliche Nazis installieren und weiter fossile Brennstoffe verkaufen. Da bleibe ich mit Verlaub lieber beim Kulturimperialisten aus Übersee.

Es ist aber erwiesener Fakt dass Russland beträchtliche Ressourcen investiert um den Westen und insbesondere Deutschland als de facto Sperrminorität in allen Sachen EU durch das anfeuern sozialer Unruhen uneins und handlungsunfähig zu halten, besonders in Betracht der Situation in der Ukraine.

Der Springer Verlag soll wegen mir gern niederbrennen, das heißt aber nicht dass ich russische lügen in Deutschland will. Es wird dringendst Zeit dass wir ausländischer Einflussnahme - insbesondere durch ideologische und geopolitische Feinde wie Russland und China - ein Ende setzen.

Soon the taboo will be gone, the appeal as well, and everyone will have plausible deniability too, because if there are dozens of fake nudes of any given person then who is to say which are real, and why does it even matter at that point?

This would be a great opportunity to advance our societal values and morals beyond prudish notions, but instead we double down on them.

E: just to clarify I do not at all want to endorse creating nudity of minors here. Just point out that the girl in the article wouldn’t have to humiliate herself trying to do damage control in the above scenario, because it would be entirely unimportant.
