Lace your heart with mine Let your sleeping soul take flight Take me through the night Down down down by the river Down down down by the river
Pentiment ! On the advice of someone from Lemmy. Good game some far ! The story is good, well documented. I’m in the Act III (i think it’s the last one)
I couldn’t agree more. The story feels rushed. The hero succeed in every attempt. There is a small internal struggle for him but it’s basically it. Therefore the enemy seems weak. You don’t feel any adversity for the hero.
I’m also a big fan of the first game. It’s literally the same game but with a huge graphic upgrade. You will not be surprised by the gameplay loop.
But the big plus is the ambiance. I feel like I’m in an action movie (the fog, the effects, the music) and with friends it’s awesome to share that feeling.
I don’t have experienced any crashes so far on PS5. But we had long queues at the release. It’s far better now (1-2 minutes yesterday). However the quickplay is still broken for me (tried yesterday). So if you don’t have a group of friends to play with, it’s gonna be rough without matchmaking.
Helldivers 2 with friends. But the 1.0 of Last Epoch released Wednesday evening. Can’t wait for the weekend !
I’m finishing Elden Ring because of the old rumor of the new DLC. Probably a bit of Plague Tale Requiem after that.
Wow, thank you for the list and the explanations for each !
Just by curiosity, what plugins do you use for your campaign ?
We are spoiled with good games if you know where to look. We had less possibilities back then. So yeah, they will be nostalgic of the great games coming out recently !
Compared to Elden Ring :
I think it’s a good game. There are definitely some flaws but I’m enjoying the experience.
Kingdom come is such a good Idea for hardcore mode ! Thank you !
Yeah, I probably do the same in this situation. I probably play strong narrative games, short indies games, roguelikes.
I don’t really feel that my time evaporate into nothing. I have more memories of the rush of adrenaline of failed attempts than any recent video games stories. I play the journey of the character and not really the story.
Luckily for us, we can have all sort of experiences with so many video games out everyday. We’re in a golden age !
The solution for me was hardcore mode. I play most of games with one life or 30% chance of dying (inspired by Outwards hardcore mode). My gameplay has changed so much.
Of course, you cannot do this with all games but most of RPGs and adventure games are compatible with the hardcore mode.
Currently playing Last Epoch, an Arpg, great fun. One life or you delete the character.
That Etsy tips is so precious. Thank you very much !
Currently playing Lords of the fallen. I have good time playing but the multiplayer is so bad. And after that, probable Signalis
Then you have short session roguelikes like :
Slay the Spire ! If you like card game and roguelike
Same thing for me ! I’m currently watching the season 2 of Critical Role on YouTube. It’s not a TV show but it’s high quality show for sure. It’s a standalone campaign of Dungeon & Dragon. It’s so good and there are so many hours of content !
