I don’t think it’s quite right to turn on a solo dev just because he didn’t respond quickly enough to transphobic abuse. It’s not like he has a PR department. I do hope he responds, though.
Yeah CA seems pretty chill. I mean Harvest Moon didn’t have gay marriages for years, maybe even after SV came out (I can’t remember exactly). And you can change your gender ingame too. And you can date multiple people. And have a platonic monster relationship. And everyone is Bi. So I’d be a bit surprised if CA didn’t dislike this doxxing or was anti-trans.
Plus the issue of gamers being gamers have been happening a long time ago. Back when modding for SV was still getting up and running, there were mods that turned non white characters white or lesbian/gay characters straight lol. Now the latter one, there are a bunch of horny mods so I could’ve just brushed it off as whatever if it weren’t also paired/recommended with the race swap mods.
Strike me down if turning non white characters white and gay people straight isn’t funny. It obviously comes from the mind of the fragile-est, childish-est demon gamer, but it feels like that picture where the guy goes
